The tables

Same roof, six tables now

Euchre, bridge, five hundred and whist, dealt by a house dealer most nights.

Settling in

What a Wednesday through Sunday looks like

The dealer unlocks at five and starts filling seats gradually rather than all at once, so nobody walks into a full room.

Wednesdays lean toward euchre, with a bridge table usually going too if someone rang ahead to reserve it.

By the weekend the balance shifts to five hundred and whist, and a short queue can form if you arrive right on the hour.

A round of five hundred partway through a hand
  • Getting a stack

Chips come with the door fee — no separate purchase needed.

  • First visit

Say so at the door and the dealer will slow the first hand down.

  • Keeping score

Written up table-side and double-checked by the dealer at the finish.
